KOSMO - SMSR Receives RM3 Million Financing from PMB Tijari

KUALA LUMPUR – SMSR Resources Sdn. Bhd. (SMSR) has received financial financing from PMB Tijari Bhd. (PMB Tijari) amounting to RM3 million.

The funds are intended for the supply, delivery, testing, and maintenance of nearly 400 fiberglass rescue boats, including towing trailers, for use by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM).

SMSR Director, Syed Shukran Syed Muhamad, said that the fiberglass rescue boats will be utilized nationwide, including in Sabah and Sarawak, during flood disasters or other emergencies requiring boat support.

“A total of 285 rescue boats have been delivered to APM across the country since early 2018, and today, 106 rescue boats are being handed over to mark the conclusion of this project,” he said in a statement issued yesterday.

Additionally, PMB Tijari’s Chief Executive Officer, Wan Sazriz Wan Zaid, said the company is focused on empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across various sectors through Shariah-compliant financial solutions, both in the domestic and international markets.

He added that as of September, PMB Tijari had provided financing for several key sectors including transportation, oil, gas & energy, information & technology, and healthcare.

“The transportation sector accounts for the largest percentage of our total financing, representing almost 70% of the total financing value,” he said.
